Another nice day at the beach and another victory for the women's and men's uvA teams of DeCarr/Krieger and Killian/Rank. Decarr/Krieger had little problem winning another finals over Cherubin/Daniels who showed moments but couldn't put an entire game together when they needed it most. Meanwhile, Killian/Rank the men's dominant duo on tour, had more of a struggle against self-proclaimed volleyball gods, Frey/Klaczany. Killian/Rank won again; as the champs have met and defeated Frey/Klaczany in the finals twice during the last 3 weeks. Suprisingly, the men's uvB finals saw the team of Johnson/Porta actually win an event. Their adversaries were Hile/Keister. Although, Johnson has been consistent for most of the summer, his partner, Porta, has often been questioned as to possessing the mental ability to win on the tour. Apparently, he was able to this weekend. But still its too early to bet on the fact that he can repeat week in and week out. And, finally, in the women's uvB draw, the new team of Evans/Morin had the right mix of a tour veteran and free-agent rookie. The partnership defeated the team of Daskiewich/Moonen in their division's finals.
