PLAYERS & FANS ALIKE WATCH AN UPSET IN THE MAKING DURING THE uvB MEN'S FINALS.
Event Notes
Back at it for the second week, the tour saw some new teams, sunny skies, and high wind speeds.
The strong winds seemed to change more than a few teams' strategies. However, last week's champions from
the uvA level seemed to be unaffected as both the men's and women's teams held their
#1 positions. Barb DeCarr and Kim Krieger won the uvA women's title while Andy Killian and Nick Rank
retained the men's title. The uvB level showed more of a surprise as last week's #2 women's team of Debbie Daskiewich
and Julie Evans broke through into the winner's circle. As for the men's uvB division, a co-ed team won
the title - a first on the UVA tour, The co-ed team of Erika Leeson and Tim Ko shocked the #1 seed of
Dan Daskiewich and Dan Hensely who had not lost a game all day until the finals upset!
