but also, all the others he can eliminate simply by being their partner.

EVENT NOTES:

The Pre-Hootie Tune Up Invitational ended the reign of one UVA royalty and continued the reign of another. The weather was excellent, slight wind, partly sunny, with the temp in the high 70s. The city newspaper showed up at this tour stop to give the players some media exposure with plenty of photo ops.

Former King, Kevin Wheelock did not enter the event to defend his crown and Chip Lynch didn't seem to care as he claimed it as his own. "Hey if I see a twenty on the sidewalk, I don't wait around to see if the rightful owner is gonna come back for it... it's mine." said Lynch who was busy checking to see how far ahead of Dussault he was in the Bonus Points Pool after winning.

The big surprise of the day was by far in the men's division. The on again/off again tour bottom-feeder, Matt "the Jam Car" Ross, overcame a dismal first round, to take the second round into tie-breakers before being he was eliminated on points.

The winner of the lady's crown was....(yawn)...once again, Queen Barb DeCarr. Actually, the women's playoffs were very exciting with all games being decided in the finals by less than 3 points! Is DeCarr's Dynasty coming to an end? Hmmmm...
