EVENT NOTES:

The Underground's Summer Series kicked off with its premiere event, the Sand Legs Invitational, on Saturday, June 15th. Tournament day weather was warm and sunny with a slight wind. The Men's Division saw a virtual unknown, Mark Lyktey (a rookie on the Underground Tour), sweep through pool and playoffs with NO losses enroute to being crowned King. The Women's Division found perennial favorite Barb "Zena" DeCarr once again wearing the Queen's crown. Other interesting side notes: the Sellars Sisters (crowd favorites on the tour) both made it into the finals pitting sister against sister - both lost; 3 Underground tour players were crushed to death when a players' tent collapsed; and finally, the last bottle of free Powerade was Lemon-Lime flavor.
